CABRA MONTÉS- (Capra pyrenaica). It is distributed by some of the mountain ranges that are part of the Central system, specifically by the Guadarrama mountains, in Segovia, Gredos in Avila, and France in Salamanca. In addition to presenting reduced population nuclei in the Picos de Europa and in the Ancares, both in Leon.
Its hunting period is divided into two: the first comprises the months of March and June, and the second extends from the beginning of October to the middle of December. The trophy of the mountain goat consists of its permanent horns formed by a bony nucleus covered by a horny case.
